I apply broadly comparative macroevolutionary lenses to better understand why humans are vulnerable to disease and how to identify adaptations in other species with salience for human health. I am currently focused on identifying the evolutionary origins of sex differences in human vulnerability to cardiovascular disease and using these insights to accelerate innovation in women's heart health.
