Research Interest
Developing novel, small molecule therapuetics for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease utilizing most aspects of preclinical drug discovery: development of phenotypic screens, medicinal chemistry for hit-to-lead optimization, in-vitro ADMET testing, and in-vivo pharmacokinetic (PK)/pharmacodynamic (PD) studies. Currently investigating the use of soluble amyloid precursor protein alpha (sAPPα) enhancers, Sirtuin 1 (SIRT1) enhancers, and MAP/microtubule affinity-regulating kinase 4 (MARK4) inhibitors as potential therapeutic strategies.
